Bev explained the relationship between ARD and urge incontinence to me. I am sharing her explanation with you.

In almost every case (that I have studied or that has been shared with me) about Adhesions Related Disease (ARD), *urge incontinence* is a problem!! I have seen operative reports where adhesions had attached to the bladder and then to various surrounding organs (including the peritoneum, which is also an organ -- even though it is the inner tissue of the abdominal wall).

These adhesions -- attached to the bladder -- cause pressure to be placed on the bladder; and thus the inability to hold urine or incontinence. This is similar to what happens in pregnancy as the growing uterus places pressure on the bladder; and the mommy feels a constant urgency to have to urinate. Incontinence occurs due to the pressure placed on the bladder by adhesions!!.
