operation decisions

I made my decision to have another operation and with Dr. Reich and Dr. Redan based on the ultimate hope that I would be pain free. I also decided I wanted to minimize the risk of further damage. My last laproscopic surgery, my doctor cut my bladder by mistake and then gave me a full open operation to repair the bladder. So when picking a doctor you want to avoid ones who have had very little experience. You want ones who have done it literally thousands of times. I also felt that it was inevitable that I would have a bowel blockage eventually, sooner or later. I wanted someone good to remove the adhesions from around my intestines. And in fact the adhesions had grown around my intestines and were just starting to tighten up, so I would have wound up in the ER with an unskilled doctor who would no doubt do their best but leave me with more and more adhesions. These decisions are not simple, obviously. Good luck and best wishes, Sally Grigg
