Hey Kimberly,

I hear ya. I have to admit, I seem to do much better on the high fiber side of things. Tonight driving home I was thinking about all this, and it occured to me that perhaps the reason we all differ so much (high fiber vs. low residue) is it depends on where the problem is intestinally? We need a doctor on this board LOL. My "sticking point" seems to be hear the end of the trip, if you know what i mean, and my bowel is definitely NOT irritable. It is too calm. Hm, i must have CBS.

Anyhow, here is my high fiber travelling tip!! And this has stood me in good stead even on places like relatively small boats for a week LOL. You ready? ALMONDS.

I tow a bag of almonds with me where ever i go and snack on them 2-3 times a day. Works for me. I used to just switch between raw and toasted depending on which were the freshest when I bought my pound or so for the vacation stash. Lately a friend -- sigh -- introduced me to roasted, salted, smoked almonds. Heh. Those might just be the best tasting source of fiber i ever had.

Thanks. maybe we should start a board for chatting during that hour "relaxing" and try the power of postive thought together LOL. Now that would be a novel use of the internet. Easy, flowing etc etc LOL..... :)

Take care, tinky
