Dear Janet,

Always good to know I'm not alone. I did recently up my Oxycontin so that may be it. I have an ileostomy so rarely have problems with gas/constipation. It's mostly just pain, pain, pain. I have found that IV fluids help dramatically. I had a PIC line at one time and ran a liter every night for a month. It was great! Then of course, the insurance company decided I was cured and that was the end of that. I have a Port-a-Cath now and when I need fluids I just hop into the doctor's office, run a quick liter, and go back to work.

It seems though that the pain is increasing and I dehydrate more quickly. I'm working with a surgeon in town who is open to exploring some of the new techniques out there for adhesions. Where do I find info on that stuff? At Fri, 15 Jun 2001, Janet Karam wrote: >
