Hi Sally --

Boy, you hit the nail on the head. We don't want to live in filth, but our options are limited by our bodies and our desire for independence/privacy. It's so humiliating.

I have had a few friends offer to come help clean, but do I really want them going through my personal things and our laundry? Sorry, can't do that. *Sigh*

We had cleaning help come every other week to do the big stuff -- until recently...I've not earned any money in ages so can't pay for cleaning help, and hubby is not interested in paying for it -- says he can do it himself. Yes, he can, but when? Besides I've seen how things look after he cleans and he means well, but if I had to grade him on the finished result, it would be ugly. I won't tell you how long I waited for him to mop before I finally gave up and mopped the floor myself.

You're right, though, I'm probably trying too much too soon. I try but sometimes can't help myself. The kids help and certainly can be taught to do more. It's summer and they are home now.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, I really appreciate them. Am sending more of the same your way -- lots of big hugs and chocolate, have a happy, pain-free Sunday --

Love,

Lynda M. in AZ
