I really don't know as I found my pain specialist purely by accident by finding the website I mentioned previously, but that's a good thought, and now that I think of it, a friend of mine could not get a referral from her GYN, but went to her internist and he said that he felt that was exactly what she needed. Perhaps those that have found pain specialists, could enlighten us on how they found them, then we'd know our best bet in getting referrals to doctors who will treat our pain.
