Just wanted to pass this info on to all of you who struggle with constipation or lazy bowel. Although I am almost entirely pain free now a month after surgery(yay!), I still need a BM booster!
I am having great success with Triphala, which is an Ayurvedic(Indian/Eastern) herbal remedy that can be found at the healthfood store. It doesn't cause severe bloating like Metamucil, and does not deplete your system like Senna and Cascara Sagrada. I have experienced no cramping, and it is non-habit forming.
