I have a lump/long hard 'elasic band' in my lower left abdoniom. The 'band' almost mirrors an incision scar that remains following surgery. Of all that I have read about adhesions, I have not heard of anyone who can feel them from the outside. Is this possible?
The band is very very hard, as hard as a bone. Is this normal?
Also, shouldnt I have expected any scar tissue to be gone, as it is over 20 years since the surgery?
What else could this be. Im extremely worried. Went to the doc about 4 months ago, who said they thought everything felt normal - the 'scar tissue?' can be felt much better standing up than lying down, which is the position that I was in when the doc examined me.
Thanks
