Hi Hi everyone,

Just had a phone call from Trace giving me an update on Suze's surgery.

Please forgive me if I get some of this wrong (spelling etc) I'm new to posting messages involving medical terms & names.......

Suze's op lasted for about 4 1/2 hours yesterday, the doctor had suspicions about her liver and he went there directly after opening her up. The liver was almost folded in half on itself, pulled and inflamed from adhesions....Doc said it looked terrible! Her bowel was also caught up on the liver which was causing her problems too.

Suze hardly ever complained, she was taking VERY strong pain medication, and her partner was taught how to give her injections!

Suze is now resting in hospital, without a NG tube, which I know she will be thrilled about.....she wasn't looking forward to that!

Gary has read some of your messages of support & wishes to Suze, which lifted her spirits......and they are grateful for your concern & support.

HOWEVER there is a FANTASTIC system at Wesley Hospital where Suze is staying, we can send her messages directly via their website! Isn't that cool! They will print out the messages and take them to Suze. I told her to pack some sticky tape so that Gary could stick all the messages on the wall around her bed, so that the doctors & nurses would know how special & important she is.

Trace also asked me to let you know that Suze is Teddy Bear MAD! So if you decide to send cards or anything else.....how about something with a Teddy Bear on it???

So if you wish, please send messages directly to Suze at Wesley Hospital in Queesland: http://www.wesley.com.au/mailform.html This will help Gary, and mean a lot to Suze.........

Cheers & Hugs, Jo
