Dear Regina,

I can read the concern that you have for all of us. I know that you are trying to look at for us. I think you will make a wonderful doctor some day. It does take alot of compassion to work in the medical field. Whatever you do, don't lose that. Too many times we see doctors who are desensitized to their patients. I know it is probably them unconsciously trying to protect themselves emotionally if something happens bad to one of their patients. I have the best ob/gyn I think there is. After complications with multiple kidney stones and having to have surgery during my pregnancy 3 times to have them removed with stints that had stones growing in them, on them, on non reactive material, and being bedridden for pre-term labor along with it, my doctor cried when my baby was born healthy. My amnionic fluid was almost totally gone. They had to induce early because of that. Anyway, he cried with relief to know she was okay. That touched me so much. I have never seen a doctor react that way. But I can see that over time, now 10 years, he has changed some in that respect. I still love him and would rather have him than any doctor. But there is a difference in him. So, just keep that compassion and I know you will be successful with your patients and with your practice. I wish you the very best!

Love, Jenny
