Good Evening Everyone,

I am new to your web site. My name is Twana Miller. I'm so very happy that I found this web site. Now I know that I am not alone. I have been suffering with adhesions for several years now and have had a total of 12 surgeries. I'm scheduled for surgery this Wednesday this time because of adhesions and also an accumulation of a large seroma which is a collection of fluid, this is the third time that I have accumulated this fluid in the last 4 months.

Has anyone else developed this type of fluid from surgery after removal of adhesions? This fluid keeps returning and my doctors don't know how to stop it other than to operate to remove the fluid, which of course contributes to more adhesions as well as additional fluid. They have also tried drains which does remove the fluid but within a few days all of the fluid returns. I was already having a tremendous amount of pain and pressure from the adhesions and the fluid just adds more pressure to my body (i.e., addition pain from bowel movements as well as additional pain during urination and swelling.). Will this ever end?

I've had bowel obstructions, my appendix's removed, both fallopian tubes removed, one ovary removed and I also have formed adhesions on my kidneys as well as my liver, bowel adhesions, adhesions on my upper intestines as well.

I have lost my job because of my adhesions in Oct. 1999. Since July of 2000, I have had four surgeries and have lost a total of 26 lbs in this four month span.

I'm also filing for social security and have my interview scheduled for March 8. After reading some of your stories I not sure whether or not I will be successful. I've been living off of my savings (no more dream house). I am so frustrated and depressed! Any advice or suggestions, and has anyone had a problem with fluid collection.

Twana (aka: Tee) P.S. My originial problem was endometriosis. .. Millie wrote:
