There is no xray that visualizes adhesions. I believe that using a ct they can determine that there are adhesions by the unusual positioning of bowel, etc. In fact, after I had a ct doctors told me that my abdomen was full of adhesions but I have since learned that it was due to the way other parts of my body were placed.
