This operation is not to be confused with the larger op of bladder augmentation, where they removal part of the intestines to build a new portion of the bladder, but that my be what they will have to do if this op does'nt work, apparently the op that I am having onlly has a 50/50 chance of working or stoping the bladder contractions.

He hates to see me the way I am and does'nt know how to deal with it anymore, He's a great guy and we love each other deeply, he just feels really useless with the way my health is. I know he cares, it's just his way of dealing with it.

Hello Helen, My name is Cheryl. I, too, have bladder problems. I was sent to an uroligist to check things out. I have very strong sudden urges to urinate, some burning, slow urine flow and pain when urinating. The uroligist did a cystogram and a cystometergram. These test are supposed to tell him if the bladder is functioning properly. Have you had these tests done? Mine showed the capacity and the function of the bladder is ok. So why do I have these problems? He thinks it is caused from the adhesions pulling or strangling the bladder, but of course there is not a definate way to check that. I don't think you are right in thinking that because you don't have an incision that you won't have any problems with adhesions. Even if they do your surgery vaginally, anyplace they use a knife to cut you will form adhesions, even internally. of course you won't have the extra ones from an abdominal incision. Good luck with your surgery and a speedy recovery.
