Dear Kath, I haven't had the pleasure of a barium enema yet. But, I did have to drink some really thick, white stuff once. Oh - gag! It tasted terrible! The only thing that was uncomfortable was needing to use the bathroom and having to hold it while the dr. pushed on my stomach and took pictures of it pass through my intestines. If you have to have that test (I wish I could remember the name-had so many I can't keep up) you don't have anything to worry about - you'll be fine. I know how nervous I get before going to have tests. If they would go ahead and tell me what they're going to do I can prepare. The not knowing is the pits. Good luck!!! I hope everything turns out okay. - Teresa
