HI everyone..Janet :-)

I just read Bev's report on her surgery...and I got a BIG problem/question!

During my 2nd hernia repair...thinking the first hernia repair had failed...they doctor found the LUMP this time was NOT a hernia...but a 'bubble'.

When the first did the hernia repair they used teflon to cover the area and make it stronger...my body did not like this stuff/teflon, and threw a reaction to it,...making this bubble of fluid, cover it. The surgeon said, like a oryster does cover sand to make a pearl. It's got a name a mile long ending in 'hematoma'..bruise.

MY question is: Could this be a different form of adhesion? And could my reaction to the teflon cause problems with future use of barriers for the adhesions? Every so often they'd drain this bubble, but it's not been drained in about a year..it does not hurt, it just IS there...sort of making a little pouch at the bottom of my lower stomach area.

MY layman's opinion is...it can't be good for me! And I bet it puts added pressure on things...lower bowel and what have you...but that's just my opinion! :-) thank you Linda
