Hi Suzanne,,, Welcome home!! I started off with Darvacet & percacet &
demeral,& others in that range, which none really helped my pain. Then
I discovered Vicodine. It is the only thing that seemed to help. Now I
am using the duragesic patch, Vicodine,10mg, (4-6aday),& Equagesic 200
about 6 aday. It keeps my pain mainly under control, but I am never
pain free. I also use a tens unit, it helps too. I did use acupunture
once. He was a quack, but he did use a little ball (the size of a pen
head) on my ears that I could rub & it took away my pain for a few
seconds, They only stay on for 5 days, (I kept mine for 7 days) The only
thing was, I rubbed little blisters on my ears from rubbing them so
much. They were on a nerve or something, that when pressure was
applied, it blocked my abdominal pain. The reason I said he was a quack
was that he told me my eyes really werent green, they appeared green
because my bowles were backed up! My mom laughted when I told her that.
I was born with green eyes!! First you need to find a compassionate Dr
that will treat the pain. As far as the meds, you have to try them
until you find the right med or combination to control your pain. Try
what every you can to ease the pain. You never know what will help you,
every one is different. I have also had physical theraphy with deep
muscle massage. I know you will feel welcomed & you will find the
information to end your search.
