Hi People:

I wanted to bring everyone up-to-date regarding my surgery with Drs. Redan & Reich. I feel at this time (4 weeks post-op) that I am adhesion free. All the burning and pulling in the abdominal area has subsided and I certainly have a much better quality of life then I did before. I still have one problem that I was hoping I would get some feed- back on and that is the dreaded right rib pain. I've had this pain since my hysterectomy in December, and everyone always felt it was the adhesions on my diaphram, but the doctors looked there and said that they didn't see any adhesions up that far. Well this spot right on the bottom of my right rib cage was always a major pain source, and upon waking up from the surgery I knew immediately that this pain was still there. It seems that I've seen a lot of women experience this same pain that the doctors always seem to think is a problem with their gallbladder, but usually comes up negative. Is anyone experiencing this same type of pain? Unfortunately, I now have to have more tests, CAT scan, bone scan and my pain specialist is treating this as RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy) and wants me to have a lumbar epidural local anesthetic injection. Has anyone had this before, and if so, is it painful or does it help with blocking the nerve? Thanks for any input.
