Here's a piece of "useless" information. My psychology instructor told the class that the gallbladder, (during early human evolution) was needed by ice age and/or cave people and the it was much larger in humans then, than it is now. These individuals, supposedly didn't clean or cook their catches, thus eating the entire carcass (hair, nails, gristle, and soft bone matter). The gallbladder was a filtering organ to catch what couldn't be digested.
