Linda,

I don't know if this is your problem, but you can add it to a list of things to consider. A person can get arthritis in the rib where the cartilage and bone meet.

Has anyone experienced "on the lower rib bone pain?" I have had 8 abdominal surgeries due to adhesions. After my last two surgeries last year the left rib pain went away for about 3-4 weeks then returned. Nothing takes this gnawing, knife grabbing pain away!! I am scared to go through surgery after surgery to get no where. Is there a medication that has worked for anyone? My ulcer is gone so it isn't that. Also it might be a combination of "Costochondritis with the pulling from adhesions?" Thanks to anyone who can shed any light on this. I am also trying to find an awesome surgeon in Seattle area. Know anyone? Gratefully, Linda
