GI tests

I went to the GI dr I used to go to years ago, and he is doing 3 tests,
and the first one is the barium enema, and it is scheduled for this
Friday, I ma terrified of this test. He ran some blood work, and on e
of them it said something renal, do you know what that is? the other
test if this one does not show anything, begins with sitzs of something.
said he is checking for a blockage or narrowing of the bowel. I do not
want to go through these tests I am scred of the barium enema. Have any
of you had something show on this test?
It is a 48 hour prep. Does not sound like fun, it has been 15 years
since I had the barium enema, and I heard it is even more painful than
it used to be.
