Dear Karen, I know how hard it is to get people to understand. We have talked about that on this sight before. People look at us with a smile on our faces and don't realize what is going on inside, how much pain we are fighting, as well as the frustration and depression. My family tries to understand but I feel that only someone else with ARD can truly know how we feel. I know how you feel about having "wished I had died on the operating table" but I feel we didn't for a reason. And I am going to work hard to find that reason and make some good come from all this. Good luck with your consult and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Jessica Baleyko
