I am so thankful to have stumbled upon this site today. I'm not the
only one to have this pain after surgery! I've had 3 abdominal surgeries
in the past year. The last surgery was a total abdominal hysterectomy
caused by invasive cervical adenocarcinoma. After my first surgery I
started having some unexplained pain that has just gotten worse with
each surgery. It's at an all time high right now. The CT scan didn't
show anything and my doctor doesn't know what is causing my pain now.
She mentioned briefly that "it could be adhesions" but said that she
didn't want to do surgery because that would cause more. So what am I
supposed to do? I'm 28 years old. Living the rest of my life in this
much pain just isn't an option. I'm taking the max dose of naproxen and
tylenol everyday with no relief. My doctor just wants to "wait and see"
what happens. Easy for her to say!! She won't even give me anything for
the pain. I also have Fibromyalgia and IBS...which is making it that
much harder to diagnose the pain.
